At Hotel La Gioiosa in Finale Ligure, we are committed to being as sustainable as possible through a series of eco-friendly initiatives. Here's how we contribute to environmental conservation:

Km 0 Products and Quality

In our restaurant, we prioritize local and seasonal ingredients, minimizing the environmental impact associated with transporting goods. Additionally, we focus on high-quality products that last over time. Almost all of the hotel's furniture is produced in Italy, supporting local industry and reducing the environmental impact of international transport.

Room Renovation

During the recent renovation of our rooms, almost nothing was thrown away. Beds were donated to those in need, while some sofa bed mattresses were repurposed as pet beds, along with bedspreads, duvets, and much more. This way, we gave new life to our furnishings, reducing waste and supporting the community.

Sustainable Mobility

We offer our guests a garage equipped for minor repairs, bike charging, and washing. We provide detailed advice on the many trails in our area, promoting sustainable exploration of the territory. Additionally, we have an electric charging station for electric vehicles, encouraging sustainable mobility among our guests.

Reusing Paper Placemats

The paper placemats used during breakfast are cut and repurposed as notepads or for taking orders in the restaurant. This reduces paper consumption and gives new life to materials already used.

Digital Booking

We have digitized hotel bookings as much as possible to reduce paper waste. We use digital solutions to manage bookings and communications with our guests, contributing to a more sustainable use of resources

Energy Saving

We use energy-efficient LED bulbs and appliances. We encourage our guests to use energy responsibly to minimize environmental impact.

Water Management

We have installed flow reducers on faucets and showers and use efficient irrigation systems for our garden. Additionally, we encourage our guests to reuse towels to reduce water consumption.
We have also implemented a water recovery system with the installation of a Puffer. This innovative system recovers distilled water produced by refrigerator motors. The collected water is then stored in dedicated tanks and reused for washing. This significantly reduces potable water consumption and optimizes the efficiency of our water resources.

Recycling and Waste Reduction

We promote waste separation and use recyclable materials. We minimize the use of single-use plastics, favoring compostable or reusable materials, contributing to a cleaner future.
